Username Registration and Squatting Policy

When you create a Tethora account, you agree to the following username policies:

Username Requirements

• Usernames must be between 3-20 characters
• Only alphanumeric characters and underscores are allowed
• Usernames are case-insensitive and permanent once claimed
• Each user may only register one username per account

Username Squatting

Username squatting is strictly prohibited. We define username squatting as:

• Registering usernames with the intent to sell or auction them
• Registering usernames of well-known individuals, brands, or entities without authorization
• Holding inactive usernames for extended periods without genuine use
• Registering multiple usernames to prevent others from using them

Enforcement: Tethora reserves the right to reclaim, transfer, or remove usernames that violate this policy without notice. We may verify your legitimate right to a username and take appropriate action, including account termination.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring your content complies with all applicable laws
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use Tethora to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Engage in phishing, spam, or fraudulent activities
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Share illegal, obscene, or offensive content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or data mine our service

Content Ownership and License

You retain all rights to the content you post on Tethora. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content as part of the service.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Tethora is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

Free and Premium Tiers

Tethora offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Free accounts may include advertisements. Premium features, pricing, and terms will be clearly disclosed before purchase. All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your username may become available for others to claim.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tethora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Tethora harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through the service. Continued use of Tethora after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
